I Rather Be Myself

From my heart
i write words of thanks
to God for making me whom i am
sometimes i want to be someone else
not in human
but in style and achievement
so deep ilove Wole Soyinka
so strong Homer in my memory
father of poets so say books
i rather not be either of the two
neither wanting to be you
i want to be myself
Olasunkanmi, the name should be on lips
surely time will pass
closely it draws nearer
but walls shall bear it all.
