I Ran Into Yester-Years

I ran into the yester-years
and found the father of fears
lingering in the lore of lies
sold to our simple skies.

I turned back to face the future
peeping at its pleasant picture;
Inscribed on an immortal image
…The symbol of a sincere sage

I looked around to toast today
Wooing its wealth all the way;
Now I know, I’ll never neglect
My past, present and prospect!
