I Pray That He Wakes Up

I PRAY THAT HE WAKES UP

His smile and laughter,
The look on his face,
His wonderful sense of humor,
His love and his grace.

He opens his home,
And invites you into his space,
He makes you feel so welcome,
You never feel out of place.

He opens his heart,
And is a true friend indeed,
His love for all man,
Is easy to see.

But deep inside that heart,
Is a man filled with pain,
Unable to overcome the past,
And see what he can gain.

He’s got to let go,
Of the love that’s been lost,
He’s got to overcome,
Or a true gift to him it will cost.

Some gifts have come and gone,
But those he could not see,
For he was blinded by his circumstances,
And could not accept what was meant to be.

So I pray for his happiness,
And I pray for his soul,
And I pray that heavenly father,
Will once again make him whole.

So that he may love again,
And realize there doesn’t have to be pain,
For if heavenly father is truly in it,
There will be so much to gain.

But these are the issues,
For which he must work out,
Because nobody can help him,
Except for him pray about.

I pray that he wakes up,
Before its too late,
And realizes he is special,
And that true love awaits.

For out there somewhere,
Is someone with so much love to give,
More than he dreams is possible,
Someone with whom he can really live.

Heavenly father promised us,
The desires of our heart,
But we must stand strong,
And do our part.

So I pray he heeds this message,
And his pain he overcomes,
So that he can find the real one,
And to true love succumb.
