I Pray, I Sing, I Laugh, I Sigh

I PRAY, I SING, I LAUGH, I SIGH


I have been funny
I have been sad
I have been silly 
I have been glad

The one thing I do best of all is be me
I have cried myself to sleep
I awoke with a smile
I have often wonder where and why

I pray
I sing
I laugh 
I sigh

But sharing life with my family 
Sometimes makes me want to cry
We have said goodbye and hello a number of times
Babies born and loved ones passed

The dreams, the hopes of all 
We share and encourage daily as we go
We have sometimes taken the wrong road
When one of us takes the other by the hand 
And leads us home

So I must continue
To pray
To sing
To love 
And to sigh

Isn’t this a wonderful life.
