I Once Was a King

I once was a king,
crown,
coat of armor
purple robe,
   chamber,
      honor
goblet with stones
drank of the fine
foods
at a table
longer than time
the virgin
queen
   royal
     esteem
invisible kingdom
I once was a king
The jester in magic
   fools
       fire
burned for the city
my royal attire
a joke
laughed
cover my skin
queen
she laughed
royal virgin
invisible crown
jest through and through
I once was a king
  loyal
    true
