I Often Ask Myself This Question

What does it take to draw, sketch and paint

You can't have everything, Gershon, you're a poet & you know it.

I appreciate your estimation (of me as a poet). Wish I felt like one. I think I'm more like an 'advanced quipster.' ~ Gershon

Ability, creative artistic ability as it pertains to that medium and an urge/calling to do so. Literal answer on what it takes, huh? Gershon, if you were an is, not an aint, then you would be creative at too many things and that wouldn't be fair. I'm sure that's why it aint in ya. Those that are naturals at such probably wonder the same about poets. You wrote 17 words, I responded with over 40. Just sayin' I talk too much when type-speaking. CayCay

Oh, no, no, no. Please keep type-talking. I love long comments - the longer, the better. ... Now, the truth is, I actually taught myself to draw at age 55 or so, and I'm not bad at all. Especially generic portraits, like a clown or a policeman or something. BUT it takes me three times as long as a 'normal person.' ~ Turtle S. Nayle
