I Never Take a Bath

I never ever take a bath; The thought is quite revolting. If somebody suggested one, My answer would be jolting. For soaking in some stagnant water Seems to me repulsive; But don’t conclude I’m dirty – ‘Bout my showers I’m compulsive. I know that many find a soak Quite soothing and relaxing. Why, there are poets who find baths Worth wondrous words of waxing! Yet I am not a fan at all And bubbles won’t entice me. A steaming, streaming shower spigot Seems to paradise me. I’ll never ever take a bath If it is in my power, But I can write a paean To the glories of a shower!

Hmmm. :) If I have time, it's quite sublime to slip into a bath. To soak away what's in my way that causes such a rath. Time's short on library comp. Hope to come back with more. Enjoyed.

I too prefer showers! It's like... well with the water... it's just touch and go... the drops come clean and splash away dirty... I stand there dirty and come away clean... and when it's cold... I love the warmth... the drops come warm and splash away cool... I stand there cool and come away warm... Terry (good poem... BTW... Thanks for your kind comments... What did it 'mean'? It is a 'fantasy'... and means anything you choose it to mean... if you see what I mean...)

Cute ...Got a chuckle..I had a cousin who said that taking a bath was taking a bath in one's own filth..I still enjoy the warm soothing water to help my aches and pains..Thanks for stopping by..Sara

Fun, funny, and exactly my own point of view...perhaps for different reasons. I find, as I grow older, getting into and out of bathtubs both dangerous and difficult....I much prefer the shower! Well-written, as always.

I enjoyed your light hearted look at bathing. I do love to soak in warm water, but I usually wash first, as the Japanese method.
