I Need You
I need you near me today,
Like the sky needs the stars,
To light the way to daylight,
The stepping stones to love.
Your tender touch,
Embraces my heart.
Allows the morning breeze,
To blow away my tears.
I need you near me today,
Like the ocean needs the shore.
Guiding me home,
Where our love can be explored,
Just your tender touch,
Against my skin,
Brings tender memories,
Rushing back again.
I need you to be my,
Stepping stones to heaven,
My shore for the oceans roar,
The warmth of love evermore.
