I Need To Feel

I need to feel loved,
I need to feel cherished,
I need to be held and given hugs.
I need to feel loved,
I need to feel like I'm better
than good enough.

Don't just smile,
say it often.
I want to feel like
my heart won't end up broken.
I know guys like you,
you're nothing new.
I know how you feel,
but I'd like for you to say it.

I need to feel loved,
I need to feel cherished,
I need to be held and given hugs.
I need to feel loved,
I need to feel like I'm better
than good enough.

Don't hide behind the pillow,
don't say "C'mon, you know",
I do, but to you I don't.
I need to hear "I love you" quite a lot.
