Marion Smith Poet I do not know?

I Need

I need to be loved
With every morsel of his being
This isn’t an unrealistic request
Nothing short of what I’d be giving.

I need total commitment
To my heart you must be true
No other should you allow in
This will keep my love unto you.

I need to feel loved
Not just from words proclaiming
But from all the little sentiments
That come without even thinking.

Maybe I’m expecting too much
In matters of the heart
Just because I give so freely
Doesn’t mean he is able to impart.
