I Missed My Father So

My brother stepped up to give me away ... as we walked down the aisle I missed my father so When my precious girls walked down the aisle on the arm of their father my tears were those of joy according to the PS syllable counter "walked" is 2 syllables, so I adjusted accordingly for Dr. Ram's contest

That syllable counter is messed up, Francine. I notice it sometimes saying wrong things like that. Anyway, this is just a wonderful kimo, double set of them! I love how you focused on your very own family!

This is a very touching remembrance of the role fathers play not only in weddings, but also in our lives. So glad your daughters had a father to walk them down the aisle. My dad was all smiles that day he gave me away. He and mom adored my husband. Surely a different perspective that is bound to be a winner with Dr. Ram. Love, Carolyn

I so much understand this, Rosanna lost her Dad a year before we married and her brother also stood up and gave her hand to me... Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece.. A winner even without a contest... always with love Michael

Beautiful poem, Francine. Ours was very low key, as Sue wanted, with just my parents as witnesses, but I really wished my late gran had lived to see it (catalogue of disasters that it was LOL)
