I Miss Your Touch
I miss your touch
Your soft caress I love so much
I miss your kiss
I reach out through the mist
I miss your eyes
Staring into mine
I miss your heartbeat
Beating strong and free
I miss your embrace
And your arms around my waist
I miss the nights
The soft whispers of our flights
I miss your laugh
Oh the time we made a pact
I miss your face
And the lines I used to trace
I miss your love
As you gave me all I’d want
I miss your fingers
On my back they would linger
I miss your skin
And it’s feel as we lay in
I miss your thoughts
You shared of wanderlust
I miss your grin
And the stubble on your chin
Every day I think about you
All our days felt brand new
I feel you all around me
Even though my eyes don’t see
I’m old now too as you had been
The day you left, even still I grin
“I’ll meet you on the other side”
You said to me in your last sigh
My eyes they tear
Though you’re not near
I feel you here
Looking from that sphere
Up in the great beyond
You beckon me come
I want to go
But I know you know
My work’s not done
I tarry for our son
He is not yet a man
He needs me in this land
But in my dreams
You’re still with me
And one day soon
I’ll be with you
