I Miss You
I wish you were here with me,
Laughing and smiling at the comical jester you make of me.
One day without your smile is like a mid-night rose yearning for the first ray of the morning sun.
Anxiously awaiting the second of cherished joy, only to end as easily as its begun.
I wish I could be your protector from harm,
I would rush to your side at any sign of alarm.
I wish I could be your closest friend,
And make sure you know I will be your till the end.
I wish I could to hold you in my arms to whisper in your ear,
That I am yours and you are my dear.
Though miles separate me from you at this time,
Just know you are always on my mind.
I will see you soon my love,
And treasure you like the most beautiful angel from above.
