I Miss You

As the petals drop into the calming river I sweep my finger s through its warm
momentary embrace.

Like summer leaving the colors are seeping.I wait for a new spring to come.
You’ll be back soon, and I will be reborn again.
As the clouds caress the sky with their pale blue eyes.
I watch from the sidelines.
Hoping to catch the sunlight and keep it until you come.
So the hours we have together will be long.
Under the moonbeams I dance catching the fireflies
They light up our night sky. Keep them close when I feel far away.
That way you’ll remember that night. I’ll be back another day.
Escape from the frigid cold, and seek the warmth in my arms.
I’ll be everything that you’ll ever need.
I adore everything you are, you are everything that I dreamed.
Sitting on the highest point of the world
You are the most amazing thing I have seen.
