I Miss

I miss the touch of your hand
The sweet scent of your skin
Your look that tells me I’m beautiful
That gorgeous little grin.

I miss the laughter we use to share
The trips we use to take
Sleeping in your arms at night
The passionate love we use to make.

I miss the little nicknames you gave me
Lil Dork, Sweetpants, and all the rest
I miss waking with you by my side
I miss us when we were at our best.

I miss the past we somehow lost
The future that’s no longer there
I miss the happiness of you in my heart
Replaced with only despair.
