I met you

You were truly different from others!
Your gaze held a mysterious world,
In my childhood, I wondered if perhaps,
A happiness like yours would come my way.

I met you.
I live in a whirlwind of emotions,
Each day, I eagerly await your arrival.
If my heart didn’t tremble at first sight,
You wouldn’t know all that I am.

These days, people have their own measures,
They say love is just words spoken.
If not for the power of love,
No one would sense the meaning of life.

Thousands of butterflies swarm to the light,
Even if their wings burn, they flutter about.
In life, butterflies are everywhere,
Only we haven’t loved each other like they do!
