I Melt Down

I melt down
And I break down
When I lose the one I love.
I gave that person the best of me,
The rest of me,
And in the end
My heart was strangled,
My heart was tangled,
In a web with no life
And in a web that took my breath away.
I sit there and I die slowly
I sit there and I die lonely.
I melt down
And I break down
Because my lover
Pushed me into the fire
And they never extinguished the flames.
They watched me burn
They watched me perish
and left my burning heart as my remains.
The last piece of me that was living,
The only piece of me that could beat,
The only part of me that could love,
My sacred heart is not an item
But a treasure that won't ever amount
To gold or sparkling diamonds
Just because my love is priceless.
