I Meant Nothing

I believed that you loved me,
But now the truth comes out.
Turns out I'm not the one
You can't live life without.

I never would have guessed
You did so well hiding it from me,
And now that I know the truth,
It's clear we weren't meant to be.

I know because you decided to
Show that none of us was true.
I was shocked and devastated.
I thought I meant something to you.

This reality has fully broken me,
Knocking me down to a new low.
My world has been destroyed,
I'm unsure which direction to go.

Honestly if you want to know
Even after all you put me through,
The truth of the situation is
In my heart I still love you.

A broken heart is a type of grief. You write well of it.
