I Love You More Than Life

I gave it my all to overcome
These mental illnesses one by one
This constant struggle felt by some
The silent killer, a fight rarely won

I gave it a shot to live and love
To follow the signs I was sent from above
It all fell apart when push came to shove
Before my own eyes, it turned to dust

I gave up myself and my own piece of mind
Let go of it all, only to find
You gave up on me and left me behind
We both know it wasn’t a waste of time

I ran out of steam
Depression took over
Now I’m all alone
Good luck staying sober

You know that I’m weak
Mental illness destroys me
I may never quite recover
Rios my only destiny

I love her more than life itself
