From the moment I saw you
And your big eyes blue

And scrunched up your eyes

From the moment you curled your fingers
And in my hand it did linger

From the moment a step was taken
And you fell, unshaken

From the moment preschool started
And from my care you departed
I loved you
From the moment we walked out the door
And you were barely four

From the moment you got hit by that car
And took your little body so far
I loved you
From the moment your eyes did close
And you left me alone with my woes
I loved you
From the moment you took your first breath
And then until your death
I loved you
From the moment you did depart
And until the last beat of my heart
I loved you
From the beginning
And until the end
I will always love you
