I Love You.

You finally came home, for there is a casket a love one lay.
Why do we cry when someone we love passes away?

Is it because the way they went and we won't see them the next day?
Or maybe they left to soon and we still have more to say.

For life is a gift, a gift we cannot keep.
For life is ours to live, we cannot choose the way we fall asleep.

For there's a mother who is broken for a son she birth and raise.
And three brothers who stand strong by their mother as two sisters relive their days.

Sometimes there are no words of comfort for a mother or father who loses one of their kids.
Sometimes I feel we take life for granted and we don't take life for what it is.

To love, and cherish every moment that we live,
To be honest, true, unselfish, and willing to give.

To know the difference between rights, wrong, love, and lust.
To know that God Almighty is the only one who can forgive us.

It's time for a change for me and for you.
Don't wait for another love one to go home before you say I Love You.

Love your Rhyme. I was adopted when I was l8 months old by my parents who had lost a child at 8months old. They also had two sons. Both of their sons died before they did and I was the only one left to attend to them in their very aged years and see them in death. The loss of their children was very difficult. Sara
