Notes About The Poem

I Love Myself

I love myself
Those puffy clouds
Those plumes of smoke
Against blue sky

I love myself
The steeple sigh
Stained in the pines
In covered veil

I love myself
In ardent thought
Of higher things
Of what life costs

I love myself
With ample palms
Awaiting fill
Of your teardrops

I love myself
In relived ache
Her body brought
In wake of death

I love myself
In what I’ve lost
In what I’ve found
Knees hit the ground

I love myself
In painful kneel
A creaking woe
Stained panes aglow

I love myself
With disbelief
And belief too
I count on this

I love myself
With all my sins
A bitter shake
Lets all things go

I love myself
As I forgive
Your trespasses
They sting but yet

I love myself
I trouble not
Inventory
Of pettiness

I love myself
Because I know
You see me too
And hopefully

You set me free
To wear no chains
About my neck…
Love yourself too

I like the confidence in this one and the continuity of "I love myself".

This is better than the previous one. Heaven is waiting. Hugs

Some are dark. Most are light. Did you see those poor people who tried to hang onto the plane today, when it was taking off from Afghanistan. They are left to die…no more freedom. That is worth crying about.
