I Love Him So

Like the bend of the larch in the wind of dawn, As a twilight sky or a starlit lawn; Like fleecy clouds in their shifting white, As capricious as the moon is bright Is the soul of him. Like whispering leaves when the woods are green, Singing with a brook through a night time dream; With sweet mysteries that his eyes withhold, Passion to me he never has told To the soul of me. Like the vision of midnight that follows my eye, The shadow he casts that will not reply To the song in my heart; for all that I know It brings me to the place where I want to go For I love him so.

Hello Wesley, I Love Him So is a great poem. I love the way you just used metaphors to paint the picture rather than state it ordinarily. I truly enjoyed the read.

When silence fills the heart with love. With earthly grace from God above. The world looks better all the time. When you fill it up with lovely rhyme.

Elizabeth, from where does it come from - this amazingly wonderful vision of beauty you continually bring forth? You are a gifted lady and I thank my lucky stars for your impact on my life. Also, please read my most recent poem in your honor titled "A Letter to Elizabeth." While its not up to your standards of poetic perfection, I hope you like it none the less. Peace, Terry
