I Lost Touch....
I lost touch……
I lost touch, but still I hold you dear,
It astonishes me how you are far away but still so near,
To fall in love over and over again,
Not just with the memory of your voice,
But the fabric of your bronze skin,
There are times that I can vividly see every detail of your face,
I can still hear those love songs that took us to another place,
I lost touch, but still I hold you dear,
It astonishes me how you are far away but still so near,
The thought of you brings me peace of mind,
The day you left, I lost more than just my mind,
I lost a friend, a love, and died inside at the same time,
You probably will never understand what it done to me,
Filling void after void was my only escape to feeling free,
I did hear voice and I did see your face,
I thank you for bringing me back to that very place called “love”,
I lost touch, but I still hold you dear,
It astonishes me how you are far away but still so near.
