I Lost My Love Today

I lost my love today I did,
I lost my love today.
When I awoke this morning
My love had ran away.

I could not understand it though
I could not understand,
I really had no clue at all
Of what my love had planned.

Lonely and bereft I am
Lonely and bereft,
I lost my love today I did
Now I have nothing left.

So I sit here alone I do,
I sit here alone.
Wondering if she'll call me
I sit here by the phone.

I lost my love today I did,
I lost my love today.
When I awoke this morning
