I Lose Myself
"I Lose Myself"
we wander,
most of us,
lost in ourselves
for a short time;
some trip on
sweet things only
too terrified to confront
the real things
the real things
don’t taste as nice,
don’t feel as nice,
we wonder in ourselves;
we wander
most of us
wondering
lost in ourselves
for a short time
only
for a short time
we are here;
we lose ourselves;
the answers
arrive when time
seems limited
face to the door
closed
opening;
we lose ourselves
in the physical world
the questions resolved
not in this time
answers arrive
when we leave
our self.
