I Lied

The day will come
when you will die.
And not a soul
on Earth will cry.
No morning faces
Or sad goodbyes
Just memories
of all your lies.
The cemetery
on that day
will be empty
of words to say.
No placing roses
upon your grave.
Or prayers to God
your spirit saved.
Not one friend
or loved one near
to feel your lose,
my deepest fear.
That day has come
And you have died
I swore, I'd never
but I lied.
One soul on Earth
has cried.
