I Let It Slip Away

I let it slip away, after many months with clouds of gray. Our friendship became a huge drain. you were not worth all the pain. Now all I can do is just pray.

Hi Paula, I just saw this and can feel the sadness in this write. Unfortunately as you know some times those closest to us, "friends", aware of our "Achille's heel" can do the most hurtful things. I think you are a wise woman to sever that toxicity and just pray for this person. Perhaps in time you may reconnect under better circumstances.

Oi fire so called disingenuous friends we have to! Times changed we change but honesty counts, Stabbing people in the back is easy on line. My oldest friend is 83 and lives in Chicago Pangie

This write is from a good friend of many years lying to me for a few months. I had enough of it and cut them out of my life. Friendships can change because people can change. I still keep in touch with a girl I went to school with. She is many miles away. It is good to have someone to count on. Have a blessed day writing away...............

Paula, I read nothing in the poem that even suggested, you must watch your mouth. I saw that in comments below. You can soup me the answer to that. If one has a friend, a true friend, we do NOT have to tippy toe around them. If they accept you, real-time, they do not have a list of qualifications like that. IBUT they make friends with my known enemies, I lose trust. That’s sad.if you told me, someone here was out to get you..that’s the end for them..Pangie.

I feel that is why the Soupers started talking about mouth/words. That is the way I took it. Have a blessed day writing away...............
