I Let Her Lie

I cannot blame her, I let her lie.
I let her speak, I let her blame.
All of our problems, I let her sit them on me.

I was afraid, I was alone, I was scared,
I was losing the woman, With whom everything I shared.
All we had done, all we had said, all of our love,
was being thrown to the side, for some other mans lust.

I let her lie, and I blame myself.
I should’ve said no to all the feelings I shelved.
But she had my heart and I could not give in,
She had my heart, because I gave in.

I cannot blame her, I let her lie.

Thank you very much. I try to convey my true feelings through poetry whenever i feel them start to affect my mood. It truelly is a fantastic form of therapy. I tell all my friends that there is nothing more relaxing and more soothing for the soul, then to sit down and pour it out in a meaningful poem.
