I Left You

I left you before you did it.
I couldn't leave you one day later.
Believe me, I've had enough. I quit.
I won't bother you any longer.

It's you who should feel lonely.
You will be crying in the night,
You will be sighing vainly,
And I'll be smiling by starlight...

I left you before you did it.
I've avoided many troubles
In the simple way - to wit,
I didn't wait for your new lies...
