I Leave and Live For Love

I really do love you my dear, but for greater good I have to leave. To guns and grenade I now cleave; marching against the forces of fear. You are closer to me than my Gun for I hold you in my hopeful heart. If I live to fight again Sweetheart, into your waiting arms I will run. I may in the war-front fight and die; remember me for what we shared and not for the dreams that flared. See the greater good...even as you cry. Remember our help comes from above, so keep me in your arms of faith, do not whirl in worries and wraith. You know I leave and live for love.

Love the poem though I don't agree that guns and grenades can ever bring "greater good". Anyway, I accept the world we live in. Great write
