I Know This Feeling

I don’t know you, But I know this feeling, The urge to express That floods my senses With warm, foamy waves Playing heartstrings In a rush to the piano For hours and days Whatever it takes To exceed the pleasure To abandon myself To feel helpless It is rare and precious It changes the value Of each comparison Filling the void With tone and melody And generosity. I don’t know you, But I would like to.
