I Know That Your Gone But the Imprint of You Still Remains
I saw your face in the window sill
I saw your foot print and It gave me a chill
I heard your voice through the wall
I thought you were in heaven but you’re here after all
I knew when I lost you it was forever and a day
I hope to see you at the end this every night I pray
Your trinkets are still here and they bring me great pains
I know that your gone but the imprint of you still remains
I search the rooms but your not there
I feel a touch on my shoulder and you disappear into thin air
There’s barely nothing left of you except pictures on the wall
I miss you more each spring winter summer and fall
I still find things you left behind
The collection of your life is the only thing that’s been kind
I knew when I lost you it was forever and a day
I hope to see you at the end this every night I pray
Your trinkets are still here and they bring me great pains
I know that your gone but the imprint of you still remains
Your part of me and I would never run and hide
I see you floating with your arms open wide
Trapped between heaven and earth
I have faith in God that he graces you in rebirth
I knew when I lost you it was forever and a day
I hope to see you at the end this every night I pray
Your trinkets are still here and they bring me great pains
I know that your gone but the imprint of you still remains
These things I see I wish they never cease
I love you forever but I hope your soul finds peace
