I Know She Is Watching

I see her blue eyes
Even in the darkest skies
To my heart it is no surprise
Yet my brain tells me its lies

When she is not here my heart cries
Away from me is where logic flies
Because to me it is as if my anxiety is on the rise
I feel as though I have lost my only prize

So now she never leaves
She watches me from the trees
And when she watches me, I feel like I need to freeze
Because I can see her beautiful hair move with the breeze

Being with her makes me feel free
Like we are on another planet
Because there is nothing on earth that I can see
Being with her, for me, is an emotional gambit

I love her presence
I love her essence
She is no temptress
She is selfless

when I see her in the crowd
I feel like I am found
Our souls are bound
Just to say I have her attention makes me proud

She watches me while I write
Making my dark heart light
When I am with her, I feel loves might
She makes me feel happy just by sight
