I Know

You think I cannot know it,
yet each day it cuts me deep,
because dear friend I have come to learn,
the extent of your deceit.

I pretend I did not see you,
yet all the while I knew,
Hours sitting, contemplating,
Not knowing what to do.

I hope one day you realize,
the pain that you have caused,
but I shall not reveal it,
your conscience now must be bruised.
