I Just Wanted To Say Thank You.

Thank you,
Thank you for the love given to my life,
And the kindness I find,
Thank you for whatever time,

Thank you,
Thank you for the love,
And the ability to see the stars above,
Thank you for the shove,

Thank you,
Thank you for the gifts,
And the changing shifts,
Thank you for the fists,

Thank you,
Thank you for the people I meet,
And a front row seat,
Thank you for the treat,

Thank you,
Thank you for the sight,
And the will not to fight,
Most of all,
Thank you for my life.

When I was in Catholic grade school, the nuns told us God receives many prayers requesting favors, but few prayers of thanks. Your great poem reminded me of this special moment that altered my perspective. Excellent work! Love, Carolyn
