I Just Followed My Heart

When I first saw you
It didn't happen from the start
I took another look, and
I just followed my heart.

You were just another Guy
Joining the crowd at-large
The second time I saw you
I just followed my heart.

I realized the relationship
Negative - on my part
But, when I saw you the third time
I just followed heart

I put my arms around you
"I missed you" I harked
I went on my merry way, and
I just followed my heart.

You showed again; and right on time
You rode me in your car
We laughed and talked; just like friends, so
I just followed my heart

In times of sadness - you were around
Participating and doing your part
You took me for another wild ride, and
I just followed my heart.

My feelings for you began to grow
I felt like a star
You suggested that I don't get serious, but
I just followed my heart.

The moments we spent together
In the sunlight and the dark
Were the natural feelings of love
I just followed my heart.

Thanks for sharing this... May I add that you follow your heart to experience the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." The Lord's blessings be with you.
