I Just Can'T

I lost the love of my life.
And nobody gives that any credence.
For 35 yrs it's been strife.
Since then my life make's no sense.

Knowing now how I truly do feel.
This isn't what I'd have contrived.
I've now learned what the heart can reveal.

Everything now seems so hopeless.
The movie's in constant review.
And now it's too late  to confess.
But my heart won't accept that we're through.

My first thought awake is of you.
Something about this is wrong.
Living without you in my arms.
Fills the soulful pain of this song.

Except to keep a hope alive.
That our hearts as one will still sing.
Until then I can only survive.
