Dominic Amezimi Poet Cinquain

I Hoped It Was a Dream

It was the first nightmare I had awake
With chills,  fear replaced the blood in my veins
I searched for death and through the swiftest means
But death itself did cower so to flee
Far from the fiercest thing mankind had seen.
