I Hope

I HOPE YOU,
LAUGH MORE.
  I HOPE YOU,
OPEN A CLOSED DOOR.

  I HOPE YOU,
SING LOUDER.
  I HOPE YOU,
FEEL THE POWER.

  I HOPE YOU,
GIVE MORE HUGS.
  I HOPE YOU,
STAY AWAY FROM DRUGS.

  I HOPE YOU,
KISS DEEPER.
  I HOPE YOUR,
BILLS ARE CHEAPER.

  I HOPE YOU,
FEEL ALIVE.
  I HOPE YOU,
ALWAYS STRIVE.

  I HOPE YOU,
SPEAK YOUR MIND.
  I HOPE YOU,
SEE THE SIGN.

  I HOPE YOU,
FIGHT FOR INJUSTICE.
  I HOPE YOU,
FEEL THE ONENESS.

  I HOPE YOU,
FIND YOUR SUPERPOWER.
  I HOPE YOU,
BLOOM INTO A FLOWER.

  I HOPE YOU,
NEVER FIGHT A WAR.
  I HOPE YOU,
FIND WHAT YOU'RE LOOKING FOR.

Nicely done, Debbie. I have been an optimist most of my life. All of which you write are lynch pins for optimism. But I have seen and heard so much in recent years that the phrase I hate most is a self filling prophecy; "It is what it is". I fear we can no longer say "This isn't who we are".
