I Hold On

I hold on
to every word you say
hanging on your promises
like my life depends on them
I let my soul
plunge into the abyss of your love
and with every heartbeat
I reminisce your tender words

I hold on
to the feeling of trust
where everything else is obscured
and all that matters is you
I let my ears listen
only to the whisper of your words
the only voice that stirs my heart
the only sound that thrills me

I hold on
till your sound trails away
till all is quiet
and all that is left is your shadow
and only then will I say
that I lived
and I loved .

Thank you Caren. I am glad to be part of this great family of Poets. As I make my first steps, at least I have quite a vast number of poets to look up to. Regards, Kevin.
