I Held the Moon, Bc

I had a dream I held the Moon
It fell down from the sky,
And oh it was so beautiful
Tears welled in my eyes.

More beautiful than all the stars
Now the Moon was mine,
In my hands I watched it glow,
I held the divine.

In my dream I looked up
And all the stars were crying,
For without the shining Moon
The Milky way was dying.

I realised that it was theirs
It was not mine to keep,
So I cast it to the sky
Then I began to weep.

In the morn a crescent Moon
Was smiling down at me,
I smiled right back at it,
For I had set it free.
