I Heard the Screams
I heard the screams
I heard them loud and clear
Then I heard and angry growl
Almost like a bear
You live across the street from me
I saw you crying
Just tell the truth
And stop all of this lying
The proof is there
You can’t cover it up
Remember we use to talk
We talked it up
I can see the pain
I see right through you
You use to light up the room
Now you’ve made me blue
I can see the tears about to pour
Like water from a waterfall
Wipe your eyes
And get off the floor
You do not know who you are
You do not understand what you mean
What you mean to your family
What you mean to me
You are my best friend
Well, you use to be
Until he hurt you so bad
You had to leave
Justice will be served
Count on me
I’ll help you
I heard the screams
