I Hear Voices

I hear voices telling me to stop I hear voices telling me to go; I hear your voice laughing at me, I hear my voice strangled choking; I hear voices telling me ‘You’re ugly.’ Those same voices will say ‘You’re pretty.’ I hear voices telling me ‘You aren’t loved .’ I hear voices say ‘and you never were.’ I hear your voice saying nothing, I hear my voice echoing my insanity; I hear voices telling me ‘You’re ugly.’ Those same voices will say ‘You’re pretty.‘ I hear voices cursing my vulnerability; I hear you taking advantage of kindness, among other things; I hear my voice growing not speaking. I hear voices that say you’re ugly, crazy. I hear voices that lie and tell the truth.
