I Hear He's a Winner

I HEAR HE’S A WINNER

I hear he’s a winner, I’ve heard
that more times than can say.
Sorry to say, “I can’t agree,
opposite as night … to day

Receives awards and accolades,
good at his job is he.
Agree smart, of these deserving,
neath mask … abuse can’t see.

Why? Cause good at his game as the best,
charmer is all you see.
But behind closed doors he changes,
a narcissist … is he.

Charismatic, and so charming,
mesmerizing at first.
Without warning for no reason,
victim of his … outburst.

Most can’t see reality, the
abuse quick to inflict
Says loves me but abuse between
words reveals … huge conflict.

Difficult to hear he’s a winner,
feeling pain deep within.
Being emotionally abused,
heart scars can’t see … on skin.
