I Haven'T Yet
Honestly, I've often thought I am too easily contented.
Is not contentment a commodity the world has too little of?
But surely, this world would be much poorer without dreamers.
I cannot honestly say that I've been much of a dreamer.
And I cannot say that I ever really wanted very much.
But there are 'want-to-things' that I've not done yet.
Early on, I saw what I wanted and went after it.
If I concluded that it wasn't for me, I moved on.
Was my 'want to' too weak to support the dream?
Maybe I'm only musing or thinking out loud.
I've dreamed of visiting with the Amish people.
Is it really a dream of mine or a passing thought?
Either way, it's something I'd love to do;
But I haven't yet.
I've dreamed of tracing my family roots.
Technology has made such reality simple enough;
But I haven't yet.
I've dreamed of publishing my book.
It's not very costly, and I have so much content;
But I haven't yet.
