Caren Krutsinger Poet Narrative

I have now truly lived

I shoot myself into the cosmos prepared for adventure
insight I find as space travel opens me up to new possibilities
I never realized how small I was until this moment

My space suit is more than comfortable, I feel loved
Nowhere is it too tight, I am amazed by the new world I find
I travel from planet to planet on my starship, feeling joy

Other feelings I have never had before, overtake me
I am an explorer, a cosmonaut, opening up to new experiences
the planets embrace my travel, welcoming me, reassuring me

Heaven is here, I can feel her, there is much positivity
Earth words are not sufficient to describe these new feelings
You cannot explain what you have never experienced

I dart in between the stars, feeling whole for the first time
Not caring if it is my last time because now, I have truly lived my life.
