I Have Never Not Seen

I’ve never seen
A field in bloom
That could not make
A robin sing

I’ve never known
A winter’s day
That wasn’t better
For the spring

I’ve never felt
A sweeter touch
Or eyes so dark
They were blinding

I‘ve never seen
Or felt true love
That could not make
A plain man king
