I Have Dreamed It So

They say it is the thing of dreams,
And I have dreamed it so--
Bathed in moonlight's downy beams,
And in its still and easeful glow.
And in my misty reverie,
Where what is not, can always be--
I fall in love--eternally.
It is the reason why I sleep,
The dream the lonely know--
The dream come dawn I cannot keep,
Still I have dreamed it so.

Excellent, Mel! Deserves high praise and a lot more attention than it is at present receiving. Well done!! :) john
