I Have A Voice
Behind these clenched jaws
and dagger-in-the-heart smiles
I have a voice
Behind the silent soft eyes
and lingering sadness in my being
I have a voice
Behind my pen that scribbles poems
for hearts in love or drowning in devastating doom
I have a voice
Behind the tints of pain in my ink
I feel for far and near
I have a voice
Behind all my words
said and unsaid, written and unwritten
I have a voice
Behind all that I seem
every judgement you make to break
I have a voice
If you knew, what I believe
you would know, I have a voice
Only if you opted to really listen
